Taking a page from the legendary James Brown, Daru is known as 1 of the hardest working beat maker/drummer in the industry. This incredible drummer and producer currently resides in Brooklyn,New York City has experimented with the art of encompassing live drum loops, jazzy samples and a soulful passion into all his beats.
Currently drumming and touring with live acts such as Black Milk, Talib Kweli, Idle Warship, Ski Beatz & The Sensei's, UK Violinist Daisy Jopling and Austria Jazz-Hip-Hop trio The Ruff Pack. Daru has gained fans all over the states as well as Europe and more!
As a producer, Daru has created & remixed music for acts such as Kissey Asplund,Muhsinah,Reggie B, AB, Rena,Eagle Nebula and others. Daru has gained international respect for his live and studio performances. His production company Rusic Records has released a string of projects featuring many known and undiscovered artists, he continues to push his musical style of Soul-Hop, a mesh between Hip-Hop and Soul.
