Jordon Ellis' musical lifestyle began when he was just a tot, and early musical support from his parents had him banging on congas along to Sergio Mendes before he was out of his diapers. At age 5, he received an electric bass. At age 9, a snare drum came along, and by age 10, there was a full drum set, thus beginning his lifelong addiction to music. With a combination of private, mentored, and collegiate studies of music, coupled with a versatile recording and performing schedule and a compulsive music listening appetite, he's developed a drumming style that is intensely passionate and uniquely musical.
Jordon, as a drummer, has toured and/or recorded with Ben Sollee, Margo Valiante, Geron Hoy, Tommy Womack, Alan Parsons, Alanna Fugate, Jeri Katherine Howell, Matt DelRossi, John Jorgenson, Pathos, Peter Rowan, Brave Julius, Stirfry Musette, Hay and Ellis, Atomic Sandbox Theory, Eastern Kentucky University Jazz Ensemble, KMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble, and many others.
Currently, Jordon is on tour with genre-bending cellist/singer/songwriter Ben Sollee, in support of his release "Inclusions".
